2004年5月5日イラクの市民が、米兵から虐待を受けているらしいですね。本当にひどい話。でも、全然ビックリしたりはしないですけどね。だって、いかにもありえそうな話だもの。
マーク・キミット米軍准将の言葉より。「組織的な犯行ではなく、兵士個々の価値観において行ったことであり、誤解をしないでほしい」ってことが言いたいんだろうけど、なんか他人事みたいに話すから腹が立つ。
If this case was happen by Japanese Self-Defence Forces， words like 遺憾 or 謝罪 must be overused. Is this difference of cultures? Individuals consists the organization， or organization are consisted of individuals?
I think two things. No. 1， this is a small minority of the military， and No. 2， they need to understand that is not the Army，The Army is a values-based organization. We live by our values. Some of our soldiers every day die by our values， and these acts that you see in these pictures may reflect the actions of individuals， but by God， it doesn’t reflect my army.
